I’m working on an HP Pavilion ze2000 and the HDD has an odd interface I’m not familiar with.
It’s not SATA, in fact it really does not “plug in” at all. It sort of just makes contact with the terminal similar to a battery.
Is this what they call a 44-pin IDC interface?
I tried to reformat it for the customer yesterday, and after several times I finally got the thing running. Today she called back and said it is dead again so I’m guessing it’s a hardware failure.
I had a PXE-061 code which usually means a bad HDD. But I don’t want to order the wrong type, and a typical mobile 2.5 HDD does not look like it will work, nor does a SATA interface.
