Suddenly, the modem stopped working. It seems to be related to Windows updates. It always says the line is busy even though device manager says the modem is working properly. The laptop does not have to be on. This happens even if the line is connected to the laptop. What is going. I have tried many things including reformatting the hard drive and reloading Windows and it still says the line is busy. I truly hope somebody can help me out.
