Laptop not detecting hard drive, does detect SSD

Hello. I am using a Dell Inspiron 7577 laptop running Windows 10 that has an SSD that stores the OS and then a large HDD that stores pretty much everything else. Earlier, while editing in Premiere Pro, my laptop bluescreened. When it booted again, I got to my desktop with no issue. When I tried to return to Premiere Pro, I found that the program had failed to locate the majority of my files. I searched around and discovered that I am no longer able to access my HDD in any capacity and that it is not listed as a drive in my File Explorer and I could not locate it in the BIOS. I called Dell tech support and I was told that I should pay to have diagnostics run on my laptop which I am not inclined to do. Any help here would be much appreciated.

There could be various reasons for a drive to become unresponsive or undetected. It can be a hardware issue or some technical glitch in the software.

Below are the few possible reasons for any drive being unresponsive:

1. Lot of bad sectors
2. Infected File (Virus or Malware)
3. Driver issue
4. Mechanical failure

You can try the below options to resolve the issue:

1. Run CHKDSK
2. Use an Antivirus & Anti-Malware tool
3. Re-install the drivers

this also happens to me, But I give my system to the service center and they suggest internal issues. But they solve my problem by fixing it

These can be some of the reasons fo not been decected:-
-Drive not enabled in the BIOS
-Serial ATA drivers are not properly installed
-Faulty or unplugged data cable
-Drive is not spinning up
-Incorrect jumper settings on the drive
-Faulty hard drive

i would try to reseat (meaning open the laptop drive area ) and gently push the drive into the connector
