My mother’s IBM i-series Thinkpad has recently started up after being completely shut down – by itself! The AC is plugged in, and her battery has been acting a little funny lately. I guessed that it could have been a small power surge from either the power supply (which plugs into a surge protector) or a brief surge from the battery.
Has this happened to anyone else? How would this occur?
