By grogues ·
Hi there

I'm starting up a pc services company and need to know where i can get any hand tools for opening up laptops without damaging the case. Especially for releasing the catches.
Any replies would be gratefully received

Yours kindly

generally they are easy to get to using a flat screwdriver, you just have to find them first!

You might try a the dealers themselves or a another computer repair shop.
Usually they use a plastic wedge around 1" wide to pry them open.

Generally any small tools will work fine. For what you are about to get into just make sure you have small flats, phillips and Torx (especially #9 Torx). Also, as you will find down the road ... if you can get your hands on service manuals they can save tons of time when ripping notebooks apart. Some of these are like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube without any documentation.

Good luck with the business!!
