I have come across a similar problem. The way a lot of users connect via RAS with W2K is by accessing their machine with their cached domain credentials (not logging on to the local machine) and then once they are on the desktop they fire up Dial UpNetworking and dial into our network. If someone dials up and changes their password they find that when they try to log on with their domain credentials again they are not accepted. Believe it is because the machine has not cached the new password. If they create a new Dial Up Networking connection and then choose the option to dial up from the initial Networking password prompt , rather than logging on with the cached domain credentials and then connecting via DUN they will be OK. Once they have made one successful connection then the password will be cached and then they can continue to log in as they used to do ie connect from a DUN icon on the desktop. However they will obviously encounter this problem once a month.
