I have a Dell Latitude laptop which works fine except for this little quirk. The screen/monitor does not display when the machine is powered on with only battery power. Once it is up and running will wall power (past the Windows loading screen), the power cable can be removed and the monitor continues to display. Any ideas on what may be causing this? It’s no big deal at home, but the purpose of buying this used laptop was to for car trips… when AC power is not always available. I am running Windows XP Professional.
Any help would be appreciated.
