LDAP in Windows

By bvergara ·
I read some articles about LDAP Windows support but is really Windows Server (2000 or 2003) LDAP ready?

My users are created in a IPLANET Directory (LDAP Server) and my file servers are Windows (NT, 2000 and 2003). I want to reach a SSO (Single Sign On). How do I integrate these plataforms without many passwords?

First, yes, Win2K and Win2k3 with Active Directory enabled is LDAP compliant. You can use an LDAP client and connect to the AD server over TCP port 389 if you want to.
So, what you can do is integrate a Netscape/IPlanet directory server with a Windows Active Directory server using LDAP.
Here is an article to start you off:

hope this helps
