Best answer is take a college course where you get 10-16 weeks of instructor led training. takes a while to absorb and be able to use what you learn and the 10-16 weeks gives you that exposure as well as a group of people to bounce questions off of. Normally the college expenses are <$400 where a one week training at a training center is $2000-$3000. Not only do you get more time to absorb and understand it but you also get more time to network with the other class members and develop freindships and job opportunities.
Good Luck!

I suspect you may have read the wrong book to start with. VB is an implementation tool for relational databases, with a graphical user interface system attached. Find a book about relational databases, read through the normal forms, i.e. the standard ways to design tables, and you should find the design of your project much easier. I knew about relational databases and normal forms before I came to VB and Access, and I see them as implementations, not subjects in themselves. Similary, knowledgeof algorithmic languages in general makes actual VB code an implementation of something more general, although you are probably not having so much trouble there.

Hi. I'm a mainframe programmer and also had to learn to use vb. In the class I took, we used a manual that was very helpful. It is "Progamming in Visual Basic 6.0" by Julia Case Bradley and Anita C. Millspaugh. It was published by Irwin/McGraw-Hill. You should be able to order on line thru Amazon.com and have it shipped to Egypt. It might even come in different languages. For a begginner it was alot of help!! I also joined a user forum at the link below.
