LG C1300 Destroys Hearing

By swaldman ·
I am an attorney representing an owner of an LG C1300, and his hearing was severely damaged by a loud transmission of a sound from the earpiece speaker. I am interested in conferring with, and perhaps hiring as an expert witness, someone who has experience with these phones and can state if the speaker on this phone is the same speaker used for phones with a speakerphone capability, or if this speaker is used for the ringer on the phone. Please reply to swaldman@gwlawyers.com. Thank you.

That is rather a bit of a blanket statement

for a title.

I suggest you determine what, in fact, actually caused this unspecified sound.

At a guess, being so damagingly loud, I'd think it was feedback. You'll need to determine if that was caused by a design fault in the phone, or by your client's environment and actions when using the phone. Feedback is almost invariably caused by the user.
