License Logging Service

By dwight.mcdonald ·
We have a PDC, 4 BDC's, and about 20 member servers. I want to stop and disable the License Logging Service on all. Would this cause any negative effects and has anyone already done this.

License Logging Service

It can be done - but we have to ask - why? Are you running without licenses? If so - buy some!

If not, then why not just config the license service properly so you don't get that annoying event in the log...

See Q185953 for how to do this!

cheers

If you have control over the licensing using a different method, you should turn off. There is no side effects.

I thought logins were disabled if you shut down the license logging service! (except for admin)
