Licensing Service on Windows 2003

Why is the Licensing service on Windows servers a load of rubbish? It never reports usage correctly, purchase history is randomly lost for no identifiable reason and needs to be reentered. Strange random users appear like “\”.

I do hope MS have done something about this useless part of Windows in the forthcoming 2008 version.
