Limiting password to incl. alpha\numeric

By azmike007 ·
Where can I find the registry hack that would disable the password to require alpha-numeric characters...when creating a new user in user manager for domains? I am running Windows NT4 Server.
Thanks

Limiting password to incl. alpha\numeric

by Joseph Moore In reply to Limiting password to incl ...

Wait a second. You want to "disable the password to require alpha-numeric characters"? So, does that mean your NT domain requires users to have passwords with letters AND numbers in them?
Sounds like the PASSFILT password complexity filter is in place on your PDC.
Technet article Q161990 talks about PASSFILT, and it tells you how to enable/disable its support.

hope this helps
