Limiting size of print jobs

I have a server holding 40 + print queues and occasionally it crashes or freezes because someone prints a 300mb file/pdf/image.

I can’t limit access to any printer and they must be available all thru the day so i want to limit the size of a print job. If a user wants to print a large file then i could reset the size until they’ve printed.

Any way i can do this

The server runs NT4 with SP6
