Link Access to Outlook Address Fields

By jim.allen ·
I need to link Access to the Global Address Book in Outlook. The fields I need are not included in the ones provided by the "Link Exchange/Outlook Wizard".

Gee, the field list I get seems to be pretty complete. (I'm using Access 2002.) What fields are you missing?

The only alternate way that I can think of to get to this information is to use the CDO object model on the Exchange server. This doesn'texactly give it to you as a linked table, but it is an object you can manipulate with Access VBA.

We are using Access & Outlook v97. When you link, there are 33 fields. When you dump the database to a delimited text file, there are 43 fields. The ones I need are user-defined - one appears as the 24 field in the text file.

I don't know how to make Access recognize the user-defined fields. Probably the CDO model does let you see them.

I don't think that will do what we want. From all the sources I've been looking at, I think what we want to do is not possible (at this time).

Thanks for the effort.
