linking ms excel 2003 to ms access 2003

Hi!!

I have office 2003, and i have develop a database from ms access 2003.
What i want is to link ms excel and ms access so as when am updating either of them both will be updated

The aim is to have ability to produce charts from ms excel and to produce report from ms access.

Is there anyone can advice me how to do this (link)

You can use this product to query Access from Excel. http://www.sqlexcel.net It is a freeware add-in for excel.

It can help you check the data easily.

Why not just use a Linked Table?

If I were you I would use the import external data
tool in Excel to copy the table into a worksheet.

then link to that table in the Access Tables space.


Right Click Link Table,
and now link to the table you just created.
you now have a table that is dynamically linked between the two;

You will have to point any pre-existing Queries to the new table, or rename it after the original; but I think this is your simplest solution. BB.
