After fideling around with tweaking the security I have come across with to problems (XP pro SP1):
I had som shortcuts to website adresse directly placed on the desktop and in som folders – they have now all gotten the extention .URL – along also all the favorites in Internet Explorer have gotten the same .URL extention. Problem one is: The shortcuts on the desktop and in folders doesn’t work any more – the favorites does work.
The second problem, that appears at the same time the first apeared, is that links to web-adresses in received emails in Outlook are not blocked for use (does not start the browser and open the linked web-page. Instead the following message appears.: “This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.” And the system administrator – thats me. I honestly can’t find any places to remove this blocking
Anyone for solutions one or both problems ?
I suspect they are related – but i’m not sure.
