I am trying to setup a wireless adhoc network between 2 windows xp machines .both machines are running windows xp pro one is sp3 the other is sp 1 . I have 2 Linksys wrt160n wireless routers loaded with the dd-wrt open source firmware. Both pc?s and both routers are setup with correct ip addresses and both are set on the same channel have the same shared wpa key and are both set to adhoc mode. Both computers are set to the same workgroup. I can ping each router successfully from the computer that it is attached to but when I try to view other computers on the workgroup I only see the machine that I am currently on. I primarily wish to share files between these 2 machines and to install ultra vnc for remote control / admin. Later I would also like to share the internet connection using ics. My primary machine is connected to the internet via a Verizon wireless sub modem. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any steps that I have missed? Thank you
