Linksys Router after Fios modem

I am trying to connect my Linksys BEFSX41 firewall router after my Verizon Fios G1100 modem/router. I cannot seem to get the internet to flow through the Linksys router from the Fios G1100 unit. Verizon totally will not help at all. All they do is ask if I get internet when only a PC is connected to one of the G1100 switchports and if there is, they say that is where their support ends.

I don't know if it is a NAT problem or what. I can get access to the Linksys web based config utility by connecting the linksys directly to the PC, but I cannot get the Internet to flow through the Linksys.

I know if it is router to router or switch to switch; you need a crossover cable. But I am connecting the Internet IN port on the Linksys to a switchport on the G1100. I know the G1100 is a router too, but those are switchports. It is not like I am connecting two Cisco 2800's together.

I think this is all a configuration problem. I have totally reset the linksys many times trying to start from scratch in this process.

When I lived out West and had Comcast, this worked fine. I had the Comcast cable modem connected to the Linksys and then the Linksys to the PC.

I have worked for hours and hours on multiple days and I cannot get this to work right. Please help if you can.
