i have installed redhat linux on a dell L667r machine and am having major difficulties in having the os mounting the cdrom or floppy drive. when i tell it to update my system using linuxconf it responds with a message that it is running: /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S85gpm Start, that never does anything. when i attempt to use linuxconf utility to mount either of the drives it gives me an error "help.eng.....something file not written or something similar. is anyone familiar with solutions to this issue? how do i resolve it?
