i want linux and win95 dual boot on 40 gb hdd can it work?

There should be no problem with setting up linux and Win95 on a 40GB hard drive. Personally I'd use that 40GB for multimedia storage. I just reinstalled Linux myself but I choose to confine it to a separate drive instead of installing it beside Windows.
growing space is needed for both operating systems but you should be okay as long as you don't have a habit of installing large programs and applications under windows.
this should be a piece of cake.
