? ahh, SuSE is a Linux OS

SuSE = Linux, Simple.
Otherwise, maybe it's something else that you were wondering about. give it another try. There might be some book at your library that help you straighten out the Linux variations. SuSE is just one of them. So is Red Hat, Debien, Puppy, Cent, Mandriva, Slackware, and more than I can think of right now. Have fun. (it is actually :) ) -d

Ya, just use LILO or GRUB. I've used LILO before. Make sure you ahve one variant of Linux setup 1st, then get into the LILO config editing. Google it.

SUSE grub.conf in /boot/grub/grub.conf & menu.lst doesn't have ANY entries of RHat or even SUSE itself. instead there is an MBR.bkp file ???
