What do you mean by a "linux boot disk"?
Are you wantint to install linux? I'm afraid "linux boot disk" could be a number of things, but whatever it may be you are looking for, you probably can find it online, give me some details and I'll tell you where to go.

Yes. You should check out various distributions. Some have more "iso" images that you need to down load.

I'd check out Live CDs from Ubuntu or Gnoppix. A Live CD runs the OS, but doesn't install anything. That way you can check out the OS, but you don't have to worry about installing an OS you don't like.

Once you download the ISO you need to burn it. Make sure you don't burn the ISO straight, you need to burn it as an image. That way you get all the files inside the iso.

I'd suggest checking out Ubuntu, Gnoppix, Fedora Core 3, or Gentoo.

Yes. There are tools that can reset and recover your passwords in Windows with a Linux boot disk. A simple google search should turn them up.

it is knoppix based with a load of analisys
tools.

(maybe you need more of them, then search the
internet for the extra tools you need...)

You can download a Knoppix live CD from knoppix.org or knoppix.net (mostly language-dependent, pick yours). Or you can get the O'Reilly Knoppix Hacks book which includes a Knoppix CD. The password hack will require you to additionally download another package or two to be able to reset NT passwords. The book describes what you need to do to reset the password.

The auditor CD mentioned above is based off Knoppix, and I believe includes the packages needed for the password resets, but I've not used it myself.

Is this password recovery for windows? If so, have a look at the EBCD cd. It is based on a linux kernel, works like a charm and is really easy to use. I have used it on a variety of platforms and recovered admin password without a problem.

good luck
