I have installed CentOS 4.4 on a system with an Intel S5000VSA systemboard Xeon quad core processor and about 2 GB memory. On bootup the first screen after loading grub which displays kernel loading info is garbled. Whats more once it gets fully booted it brings up graphics and appears to work but if I try and drop to ctrl+alt+F1 it gives me the same kernel load screen with the same garbled text. No means to login to the text screen at all.
