Linux load raid 5 with cage

By abs65560 ·
I have a server that I am trying to load with Netmax Linux Redhat version 7.3. Trying to load on a system with raid cage using raid level 5, 2120s controller and 4 Seagate 73GB SCSI drives. The problem is that cannot see the drives in the cage. Does anyone know of drivers that can be loaded on the start of the load to see the cage. Have contacted Seagate no joy here. Have searched but have found nothing. There must be a way to do this.

you have

to compile the kernel with raid support and with support for the filesystem used in the array.
be it ext2, ext3, reiserfs....

raid/scsi controller needs to be in the kernel, not as module.
the filesystem for the partiotns also needs to be in the kernel, not as module.

This is a tech. problem, in search of a solution.

It properly belongs in "Technical Q&A," not in "Discussions."

Please re-post there.

Thank you.

It's a common error.

The structure of TR, particularly that button for posting comments to articles, does nothing to guide posters to the correct forum.

This is a problem that has been addressed in several discussions, with no resolution in sight.
TR seems to be reluctant to make the site "more complex."
