LINUX MAIL Server

Im in the process of implementing a new linbox as a mail server. Id appreciate any suggestions for the mail software.

We are running sendmail (www.sendmail.org) for a period of 3 years without any problems, so I strongly recommend it to you.
The instalation is easy and there is a documentation at their home page.

I've just retired my sendmail server. sendmail is good, but it is very hard to understand the configuration files. IMHO the best two choices are QMail or Postfix. I've been using Postfix for a long while and I'm very happy with it. You will also need to set up a POP3 or IMAP service. I run QPopper on the same box as postfix. Be sure to buy the book "Postfix" by Richard Blum or "Running qmail" also by Richard Blum (SAMS Publishing).
