When we are sending the mails to other domain the mails are going & we are receving. But we are facing a problem in a particular domain the domain name is and our domain name is we are pinging the the ping time is 3.529sec it gets increase and decrease frequently but the response time dosent gets low upto 800-900 ms.So when we are sending the mail from domain the mails get stuck on the server and it gives the message Deffered connection timeoutIt try to send but unable to send. But domain people are able to send the mails to domain. Is there any problem with the name resolution. So we are not able to rectify the exact problem where it is lying. So hopefully waiting for your solution.

running traceroute to from that box. Sounds almost like it is resolving the name to be something on your internal net and it is not destinating it to the default gateway. With ping rates up in the seconds instead of ms, I have no doubt that sendmail is timing out on sending the email to that address. Check out your /etc/hosts file and see whats in there. Let us know.
