Linux Router

By SlyfoX ·
Hello, guys!
I have such a problem. At the moment we have private network connected to the Internet via Linux Router. Distribution is Redhat 6.0. We were assigned needed number of real IPs, so now I have to modify my routing rules, so all the computers in the network would be represented in the Internet by their own real IPs. Can you give me a hint, what should I do to succeed ?

Linux and Routing

by rich In reply to Linux Router

As I understand your question, (1)you have public IP addresses for each host on your network? If so you need to route the block of public address through your Linux box to your private network. In effect you will be giving each internal host (computer) a public address. (2)If you only have one or two public IP addresses and want to translate these public IP addresses to many internal computer (host) addresses you will use IP Chains and MASQ the Public to Private IP addresses. I need to know which plan you are following and I can provide specific information so you can accomplish your task.
