Linux simulator on Windows.

Hi,
We have a requirement to execute vs.net 2005 projects in Linux. For this i have installed mono-project version for windows (1.2.5.1). The .net projects were compiled in mono environment and the executable was executed in a linux-like environment called Cygwin.

Can Cygwin assure the similar kind of functional behaviour on Linux too?

Plz let me know of any other linux simulators on windows XP.
