Listing dates in Word tables

I’m looking to automate a Word document table to update a successive list of dates, but I’m running into a snag.

To clarify what I’m trying to do, imagine if you will, a column of 5 cells (amongst other columns).

Just like a numbered list, 1-5, I wanted to be able to insert dates with a format like 6/1, 6/2, etc. and when I update 6/1 to say 7/14, the 6/2 will automatically update to 7/15.

I’ve tried to use bullets and numbering, but it won’t let me continue the previous list and the formatting goes all to heck.
