Live Linux Server

by markfilipak.trash . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hi All,

With folks like Neon Samurai, and nentech (and Jason too, of course), I know this is the place for my quest — often asked but rarely directly addressed.

I seek a bootable Linux CD for a server meeting the following requirements. Thanks in advance for all help with apologies from me for being ignorant.

Requirements:
Stable (as opposed to unstable/experimental) Linux Live CD server (Debian?).
English language.
Apache, mail (which?), ssh (admin, tunneling ftp, etc.), cgi, perl, php, mySQL.
Support for 2 ethernet cards (one for Internet, one for LAN) & 2 TCP/IP stacks.
NetBIOS (Samba?) support for use as file server for Windows LAN (ethernet #2) — not SMB/Active Directory.
NTFS support.
Reboot with DHCP or retaining existing dynamic IP (ask: “Do DHCP?”) with DynDNS update client (ddclient, inadyn?).
Config files on hard disk okay.
