LMHOST, Trusts and AD

NT4 Domain has users accesing another AD domain via Trust relationship, NT4 domain PDC has entry in LMHOST pointing at the AD domains PDC (Roll holder)

question.

Users in NT4 Domain Rcvd login error to AD “no logonserver for the blah.blah.com (AD) when the PDC(Roll holder) in AD was down for a few hours.

1 Would an extra entry in the NT4 PDC’s LMHOST pointing to another AD domain controller stopped this login error accuring?

2 is it relivant that the AD dom controller holds a PDC (Roll holder) and no other server could have serviced the login request to the NT4 domain users logging into AD via trust?
