local admin rights

by addison99 . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

We are running a windows server 2003 std

we have just had sage CRM installed. The company installing the software are telling me that all my XP pro workstations need local admin rights for the software to run.

My initial reaction was NO

If iam right in thinking this will then allow all my users to be able to install softweare change setting etc. Even though they wont know this has happend i do feel its not a good move

an I right in thinking this or am i just being over caucious. Will this also mean that any shared folder that have specific access rights on will also be accessable
