Greetings,
I wasn’t sure where to post this question, since it involves a Linux server running Samba (NT Domain controller) and a Win98 workstation. So I’ll start here.
When I log onto my NT Domain from my Win98 machine, it copies profile andpolicy info across the network. So far so good. My problem is that it also stores my destop in my Home directory on the server. Thats where the problem is. Often I will have a folder called Temp or something similar on my dest top with alot of data in it. Usually in the megabytes. This makes it quite time consuming to log in or log out, since my entire desktop is being copied across the LAN. I DO want to have profiles but would prefer to keep the desktops locally only. Is there a way todo that?
Thanks,
Brian
