Have WinXP computers logging into an NT4 Server. When you log onto the domain the local gpedit polices don't take affect. Log into the local machine no problem. Is there a way to make local policies take affect when logging into an NT4 server with WinXP......

Thanks

Try this, it's for 2000 pro clients, but it might work for XP as well.

Because of the superset of policies has over W2K and NT, this gets to be a lengthy process. The easiest option would be to check Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 307882 and 318266. Thay might a workaround for this issue. The main problem is the NT domain policy is what is used by default, not the local policy. The article 307882 deals with hcanging your local policies.
