Local Printing in unix

By morganchisha ·
Am really not much into unix and have a problem with setting up local printing on a unix machine. I'd like other Pcs having XP to use the option L to print reports from the unix machine onto their printers. Any unix guru out there?

Hi there,

not sure what version of unix you are running, but there is quite a nice freeware tool called CUPS that has a web interface making setting up printers in unix (whether BSD or system V) pretty easy. I am pretty sure it is available for most flavours of unix.

good luck
