I have recently been working with a customer who had a printer issue. He initally couldnt print. I got the printer installed and eventually working fine.
I got off the phone with him and 15 minutes later he said that he went to print something and the printer was gone. I got connected to him remotely and found that the printer was indeed gone including the driver. All of his network printers are still there
He is using a Dell Latitude D620 with XP. The printer does not seem to be bad. Can anyone lead me in the right direction of why a printer along with driver just disappear?
When i intially installed i shutdown the LT and rebooted and it was printing fine. I highly doubt he deleted the printer, but thats the only thing i could think of. I am pretty confident that didnt happen though. He said he hadnt changed the USB port or touched anything regarding the printer.
