Lock Wireless Network

By yuemo ·

I'd like to have the XP to lock down to ONE pre-defined wireless network. Now it seems that whenever there is another WLAN available, the XP will pick it up, and drop the one currently connected.

Any help will be greately appreciated!

If you are using windows xp to manage your wireless settings then go into the wireless network settings and uncheck the box that says connect automatically to preferred networks.

This does not work. Actually,I go further, not just uncheck "connect automatically to non-preferred networks", but also "Access point networks only".

Once a while, a message pop-up such as "there are other network available", and the current connection is dropped.
