Locked

Locking down the house...

By grandhighdruid ·
I am trying to find a way to lock down the "personality" on a HP Laserjet 4050 so that no one can just come up to the printer and change any settings. I can't find it on the menu options. Is there a way?

Hi,

Looks like you'll probably have to use the JetAdmin ustility to enable it.

Here's HP's info on it:

HP LaserJet Series Printers - PJL Commands for Control Panel Lock and Password (CPLOCK)

Thanks for both of your answers. The problem with a config change we are finding out, is that the power users for that particular queue are able to change printer settings. Thanks again!!
