I am looking for a way to lock the taskbar in its default location (at the bottom of the desktop). I’ve looked through Microsofts’ Technet and online Knowledge Base but could only find out how to move the task bar.
I’ve customized my taskbar to just how I like it. It is four tiers deep, contains 12 toolbars and is set to autohide/always on top.
Every now and then I’ll click it erratically and the whole thing ends up on the left side of the desktop. When I move it back to the bottom I have to reset the location of all of my toolbars.
This usually happens when I’m in the middle of something important like SQL Server or building and updating my web page and switching between applications. Now I have to stop what I’m doing and reset the taskbar or I won’t be able to find anything. When I’m finally done it is never the same and I have to think hard to figure out what I was doing and the direction I was going before it happened.
Any answer would be truly appreciated.
BTW-I am not quesy about working in the Registry if the change is needed there.
Thank you,
