I have a Gateway system with an AMD based motherboard. Other hardware is a 32mb Riva TNT Vid card,128MB ram, UATA 100 WD Harddrive a Panasonic 20/40X cdrom and a creative soundblaster live soundcard. I’m running Windows ME on it. Now everytime the system goes in standby mode it locks coming out. I have tried changing the default power settings, disabled power mgmt in the BIOS, several video cards including PCI. Duped the hard drive and even handloaded one with the retail version of windows ME but still it locks up. I also tried loading win98 SE and in this case it doesnt lock coming out of standby. I Also tried updating the BIOS to the latest version.
