I installed Win 98SE and is connected to an Nt 4.0 network. In the shut down
menu box, I dont get the option to close all applications and log on as another user, as like wih Win 95. Is there something I missed,.

It is a little different in Win98. Click on the Start and then Log Off UserName. It produces the same result.

In WIN98 all you do is go to START and then LOG OFF NAME (Name=Current user logged on). Your login banner should then come back up for your to change the user.

If Tweak UI has been installed on the computer, you may have to enable this option through it.
Open Control Panel, TweakUI, IE tab, and check "Allow Logoff".
But the previous answers are correct. The Logoff option in Windows 98SE is right on the Start Menu. It will close all programs and bring up the Logon window. Same as the old option in Windows 95.
