Log onto 2 different domains.

By ciscolozano ·
I am currently logged into domain ABC. I want to be able to log into domain DEF without logging out of domain ABC. I have to manage accounts on DEF periodically but to do that I have to close all my application and then log out of ABC and then log onto DEF. Any suggestion on how to do this? Any help Would be appreciated

Have you tried using remote desktop?

I like Sue_T's answer. Another answer is to map a drive letter to the server that you want to access. Then have it log you on as another user or wait for the prompt for username/password.
But the RDC idea was a good one as well.

Sounds like you do have a trust set up between the two domains. If that is the case you should be able to launch your app with the runas command. For example for AD Users and Computers, hold the shift key as you right click on the shortcut, select runas and enter your alternate credentials. That should do the trick.

Thank you all. The Run-As feature works perfectly. When i tried to use remote desktop i get an error stating that 'their are no remote terminals on the XYZ domain.
