Interesting things started happening with my Lycos email a/c since yesterday.
I Log IN, see my email then I Log Out.
Now I shut down and start or restart the m/c, go to Lycos site & click Log IN . I straight away go to My Lycos & get access to my email a/c without formally logging to my a/c. Not only that after Log OUT at the goodbye message if i click My Lycos, I still get access to my email a/c without any formal logging in. Only if I click Log in again I get login dialogue Box. However if I click on “Lycos” and click Log In I can go to my email a/c without formally logging. Only when I clear the Lycos cookie on the local HD, the problem gets solved.
I have already posted three feedback letters to the Lycos team since yesterday(stillto receive a reply)
My questions :
Is it going to pose a threat to my privacy ?
Is it safe to do any financial transactions through this site ?
Can I do anything at my end to protect myself?
