Login Issue

I had upgraded from 7 to 8 and then recently to nine. When I upgraded to nine, I had probems loggin in. When I go to the login screen and enter my credentials and enter it kicks me right back to the login screen. HELP!!

OK, I suppose you're talking about ?RedHat? and using Gnome or KDE.
First make sure you have enough free disk space; if RedHat can't find space for the /tmp directory, and you do not have customized error messages configured, it will not let you log in.

If it's not a disk space issue, see if this provides you with clues as to what could be wrong or what to do.

Yes, Redhat with KDE. How can I get to even check my directory stucture?

Hi Aaron,

Try booting up your PC with your RH Linux 9 CD. Then type linux single at boot:

This will make you boot into Single User Mode. Try to rename your password over here.
