login script case sensitive

By longennamer ·
I have a login script mapping drives and username is case sensitive. Is there a way around this?

example of login script command:

If %USERNAME%.==first.last. net use z: \\server\share

If you logon as First.Last to Windows, the login script does not map the share.

I want it to map the drive regardless of whether the user logs in as First.Last, first.last, fiRSt.LasT, etc.

If /i %USERNAME%==first.last net use blahblahblah

/i specifies case insensitive.

also, for /I to work you might need to use EQU instead of ==
