Login Win XP Home Edition

I have a laptop which got a win xp home edition installed on it. After I installed "Vista AntiVirus software" I am unable to login. It boot until the login screen,when you click login nothing happen. Please assist.

Who makes the Antivirus software you are talking about? There are many Vista ready programs out there. Also, what version software did you install?

rebooting in safe mode. If you can get to your OS in safe mode you can uninstall the software giving you the problem. If you purchased the antivirus software you can call their support number. Did you make a backup of your registry before installing the software?

safe mode does not work either

My idea is to login somehow and uninstall the software but the safe mode does not work either. My worry is that I did not backup the registry. Just want way to backup my data and do reinstall.

have you tried the recovery CD of your laptop?
it will repair windows but it will not harm your laptop.

anyway if also does not work try to backup your files by removing your hardisk then use a USB drive that use a latop hardisk.
