Logitech Marble Mouse cursor………

by --loki-- . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

has a mind of it’s own!!!! It only does this on occasion, but does it at least once a day…

It can just be sitting there, without any touch to it, and the cursor will just drift to the top or side of the screen… Or… I can just start to move it, and suddenly it’s off to the top or side of the screen, and I have to move it in an opposite direction to get it to stop, and then it works normally…

Other than that, I don ‘t really have an issue with it.. Just the occasional annoyance… Oh, and I have to keep my auxilliary sound settings muted or there’s a buzzing when I move the mouse, no matter what mouse I use…

The mouse in question is the Logitech Marble Mouse, plugged into the USB port… The audio in question is SoundMax Digital Integrated audio…. Have checked thoroughly for any hardware conflicts, such as irq/dma/ and i/o conflicts… there’s not anything… Have updated drivers.. Have put drivers back to original drivers… no change… Currently dual boot btwn Win2k and Win98se…. Going to be adding Suse 10 to the mix in the next few weeks… lol.. As that’s what I have on my laptop and I love it… Just waiting on getting more disk space for this one… Am curious to see if this is a windoze only problem, or if it acts the same in linux… hmmm… But any help is appreciated in the meantime..
