    Logitech mouse for ThinkPad

    Locked

    by mary ·

I’ve downloaded the driver for a Logitech
wheel mouse and installed it on an IBM
    ThinkPad. Sometimes it works and
sometimes it doesn’t. When I restart I never
know if both the built-in track device and
mouse will 1) work, 2) not work, 3) track
device work without mouse working, or 4)
track device work with mouse working
    erratically.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the software
three times. Same random results every time.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Mary

Yes, I’ve been fighting Logitech Mice with ThinkPads for many a year.

For starters, install the latest trackpoint drivers along with your new Logitech drivers.

If that doesn’t change things (probably won’t), then take a peak at the following webpage.

      http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/1024.cfm

(REMOVE all SPACES from the above URL)

I know this might not be your particular ThinkPad model referenced (it wasn’t mine), but the fix has worked many times. Unfortunately, I now have a T23 and no manner of fixes will get the darn thing to work.

      Hope this helps.
