Logitech S510 Cordless Keyboard & Mouse

By jat.ga ·
I installed the program disc, with Set Point, for the Logitech S510 on my HP (Compaq) nc6320 notebook. I use this keyboard/mouse arrangement when the notebook is in an HP docking station at the office.

Now the computer takes an very long time to boot and does not shut down without having to force a shutdown with the on/off button. The computer goes through the normal shutdown sequence to a plain blue screen (not the "screen of death"). I have tried System Restore and removed the program.

When I tried to reinstall the program, I had to buy a USB cable with a keyboard/mouse PS2 to get the laptop keyboard and mouse to work. Then I could get input to reinstall Setpoint, but the same problems reoccur.

My company's IT department said it could be like finding a "needle in a haystack" and it could be a dll file. Can anyone help? Without proper shutdown, I don't believe any of the Microsoft Automatic Updates are installing.

Thanks.
